beach christmas

it's a bit early to be talking about christmas but with the sweltering weather this week it feels like christmas already.  the only kind of white christmas we have here in australia is beachy white. today i decorated the driftwood tree i made in july with seashell decorations i made. it's the kind of tree i like having all year round.

you might remember this from the christmas in july post.
these trees have been very popular on pinterest. the larger one is in my etsy shop. the smaller one also makes a good jewellery hanger.

these are some cute starfish decorations i made yesterday for my shop. i'll definitely be keeping some for myself..i'm looking forward to decorating another tree with these. another decoration i'm happy to have hanging around all year. see them here.

what kind of christmas will you be having?

  2. Morning Cheryl- I love that you say it's sweltering and therefore already feels like Christmas to you!

We've had snowy Christmases here for almost four years- and still a little bit of heat reminds me of Christmas like no amount of snow can!

I adore your tree's - in fact i *pinned* the first pickie on my pinterest!

love the white and feelings of home- thanks

  4. I love the star fish ornaments. Those are so cute.

I really haven't thought of Christmas here yet. Not sure what we will be doing this year. I do know that now that I am in a much smaller place the tree size will change considerably. :)

  10. I love your seashell/driftwood trees, Cheryl - I wish we lived closed so I could come over and steal {I mean, borrow} one from you! LOL!

Seriously, we are having a simple Holiday this year...focusing on the simplicity of the beach lifestyle...enjoying the stormy weather, good memories, hot cocoa & stuff.

Hope you're having a great weekend.

I will be having a blue & white Christmas - my tree is generally filled with Lladro and Wedgwood Jasperware ornaments.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  12. You know, I love your tree! I made one..., I think it's gonna be a wall mounted tree... still have to figure out how I'm going to decorate it, but it's basically done.
